Watercolor Painting (Beginner/Intermediate)

I signed up for a Watercolor Painting class at Armstrong State University of Georgia. I'm so excited!!! I start my class Oct.2 for 6 weeks from 6:30pm to 9pm. The instructor has been painting for over 30years and has a gallery downtown. She also gives an advance class, which I plan to take next semester. My goal is to paint something for Siena's room. I'm not sure what I'll do yet but I will know when I see it. Of course, I'll post all my incredible, ground braking, show stopping art on my blog;) And you guys will be the first to see it!

Anyway, I hope everyone has an amazing and safe weekend!

The most precious part of this experience is my husband Dan. He was almost as excited as I was when I opened the package. He wanted to sleep with the blanket it was so soft:)

Happy Anniversary Love

On August 8th, 1998, Dan and I were married. We had an incredible ceremony held in an old Polish Catholic Church on the tip of Long Island, NY. Our reception was on a vineyard. We had a steel band for the cocktail hour, which was outside. The weather was perfect and so was the day. I remember the day before, my sister, brother in-law, niece (who was 26? at the time) and her fiance went on an antique merry go round just a few blocks from the Bed and Breakfast we all stayed in. It was so much fun, I hadn't been on one in 25 years and haven't been on one since.

Anyway, it was a great day all around. Although Dan and I have had our ups and downs, we love each other very much.

Dan always tells me - I love you more today than yesterday but not as much as tomorrow:0) Same here..........

Below is a passage from Kahlil Gibran, The Prophet, which was read at our wedding. The weird part is I picked it out not even knowing Dan had the book and it was one of his favorite passages. I guess it was Fate.

Then Almitra spoke again and said, "And what of Marriage, master?" And he answered saying:

You were born together, and together you shall be forevermore. You shall be together when white wings of death scatter your days. Aye, you shall be together even in the silent memory of God.

But let there be spaces in your togetherness, And let the winds of the heavens dance between you. Love one another but make not a bond of love: Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.

Fill each other's cup but drink not from one cup. Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf. Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone, Even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music.

Give your hearts, but not into each other's keeping. For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts. And stand together, yet not too near together: For the pillars of the temple stand apart, And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other's shadow
